How Can You Make a Better Product Tutorial
* Seamless usage of every product.
* Sufficiently low core with a just a few settings making a more adaptable product to every market.
* Completely clean of unwanted screen clutter.
* Clear and useful.
* Scalable as we need.
* Secure and reachable wherever we are (if we have an Internet connection, obviously).
* Accessible from Apps and Browser alike.
* Simple is their common word.So, making it short: They're aiming for easiness of usage and more focused at the main functions, choosing to have less features but being more practical and efficient. And they've got it. One of the things I find extremely useful in these web apps or SAAS (Software As A Service) is video tutorial. In these short videos if they are well made, we can grasp the main functions and features, making it simple to understand how to use it and what are the main benefits.WHY DO I CARE?
But why am I making this huge introduction and free publicity for this products? Well, the first reason is because I really like their stuff and I really recommend it to everyone who need to have an organized information Mojo. The second reason is because, even being a very high user of their products I still didn't get to understand the real power of BackPack™. I've entered this product and watched a few video tutorials but didn't catch the value of using it. Then, all over the sudden I got it, after viewing a simple video never watched before with a fresh eye. And still the video isn't clear about it. I've understood the main value of it because I'm already a heavy user, but if I wasn't then the problem could be bigger.
And this happened with a company that are great making things simple. WHAT SHOULD WE DO ABOUT IT?
This is transversal to every company showing their products. I think the main problem is that we assume other people will see it as we do, but they don't. They don't have mine/your background, so don't assume they do. You may loose some interesting clients making these small mishaps.
Sometimes, or better saying, every time we need to make a product description or presentation by written content or rich media, we should be advised by external people. If they understand, then it's most likely to be understood by a bigger majority of people, don't you think?
